Thanks for the comment. This was season 5 episode 5.

Yeah I read that after I made the comment you responded to. Disappointing because Jay is a wealth of information about cars and is openminded to most car makes. He's not a fan of Ferrari I hear. Leno should not have Clarson's persona they are totally different people. Sponsorship should have an affect on how the American version is biased, that I don't like. I positively love it when Jeremy rants about a bad car! No the Americans get Adam Carolla, funny but, lacks Clarkson's passion.

Jay Leno was approached to present it but declined because he said he doesnt have Clarkson's persona and he said that the show couldn't be the same because of the difference between sponsored, commercial American TV and the independent BBC.

Please don't ruin TG by watering it down with American PC-ness.

This is what I found on Wikipedia: Along with the official announcement of Top Gear was the announcement of the hosts of the show; Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust, and Eric Stromer. Can anyone validate this lineup?

The wittier and funnier the better. Corolla is hilarious I just have a hard time imagining him driving a car like Clarkson or Hammond. He could be the James May of the crew, (just not as intellectual). I've heard Leno is on the fence and favors not doing the show. I think that would be sad, his experience and humor would be great assets. Has anyone heard who they could tap for the third personality for the American version of Top Gear?

I'm pretty sure they actually decided on Adam Corolla... If you listen to his radio show he talks about working on the set all the time
