Salguine - a collector or otherwise would in all probability be willing to pay $75k for this strat simply for its historical significance and value in terms of its place in electric guitar history. Though im probably wrong having said that, and should be going off to have my head examined according to you.

@Salguine No you weren't, you were talking about the Strat in the the video, which is a 57. I was saying that at 54 Strat went for $300,000, not a 57.

@smoo70 I "obviously" do know. I'm just not one of those people who thinks the value of something comes from whatever the price tag says. I think the other way. One of my favorite electrics I own is a Danelectro I paid $380 for new. My friend has a $3,000 Stratocaster I wouldn't take as a gift. The numbers on the price tag on something mean nothing to me.

@harveydents They're shit, there's a reason why Les Pauls were discontinued in 1960, that's because nobody fucking wanted to have one! The only reason why 59 Les Pauls are so expensive is that now Gibson is a respected company, but back then, they were just shitty guitars that gathered dust! They're so expensive because only a couple hundred were made! In fact, if it wasn't for the Rollin' Stones, the Les Paul wouldn't be made today!

Man if that guy sells that magnificent piece of equipment and still claims to be a guitarist im going TO PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE. I got a black 83' strat, much as i love it i want this thing man.
